Tarot Guide

Tarot has never been something I learned from long books or complicated explanations. I understand things when they are said simply, calmly and in a way that actually feels human. So this guide is the way I learned tarot, written in clear sentences that make sense when you are sitting with your cards and trying to connect.

When you read your cards, you will never find all the answers in a guide book telling you what the meanings are. Everyone has their own interpretations. That is why these short guides helped me so much. They gave me enough to understand the energy of each card, then my intuition and my connection to source did the rest.

You do not need to remember everything. You do not need to get it perfect. Tarot becomes easier when you stop forcing meanings and start letting yourself feel into the message. Take what feels right for you and leave the rest behind. Your connection will grow every time you pick up your deck. I used crystals to strengthen my connection and to help me trust myself more. If I can learn tarot in the way my mind understands it, you can too.

Important disclaimer

Tarot is a reflective tool, not a replacement for therapy, medical care or crisis support.

If you are struggling mentally or emotionally, please reach out to a qualified professional who can support you safely.

I do not read for anyone under 18, or for anyone in acute mental distress, because tarot can sometimes intensify emotions or confusion.

Your wellbeing and your intuition always come first. You are in charge of your own choices and life path.

Crystals for tarot reading

You do not need crystals to read cards, however the right stones can help you feel clearer, calmer and more protected.

The best stone is often the one you keep reaching for. Trust what you are drawn to.

Amethyst

Softens anxiety and supports intuitive insight. Beautiful for deeper readings that move into the subconscious or emotional healing.

Clear Quartz

Amplifies your intention and the messages coming through. Helpful when you want clarity, focus and a clean energetic space.

Smoky Quartz

Grounds and protects the reading, helping to clear heavy energy and keep you connected to your body while you work with the cards.

Black Tourmaline

A warrior stone for empaths and sensitive readers. Helps absorb and transmute negative energy so you do not carry your clients’ emotions home with you.

Selenite

Clears and brightens the reading space. Many readers use selenite to rest their deck on between readings or to energetically reset after a big session.

Labradorite

Supports psychic senses, downloads and subtle guidance, while still keeping your aura shielded. Great for channelling and mediumship style readings.

Fluorite

Brings mental clarity and organisation. Perfect for larger spreads, complex questions or when you tend to overthink your interpretations.

Moonstone

Connects to lunar cycles and emotional tides. Helpful for spreads about feelings, cycles, intuition and the hidden parts of a situation.

Grounding and confidence building. A beautiful ally for career, life path and decision based readings, helping you stay centred in your own power.

Apophyllite

A high clarity stone that helps you channel messages cleanly and honestly. Wonderful when you want gentle but direct guidance from higher realms without static.

Practising tarot with meditation and journaling

Strengthening your tarot abilities does not need to be complicated. A quiet moment with your deck, a crystal that you feel drawn to and a simple notebook is more than enough.

Before you read

Sit somewhere you feel safe and not rushed. Hold your deck and, if you like, hold or place a crystal nearby. Close your eyes for a few slow breaths and gently ask for clear, kind messages that are for your highest good.

During the reading

Pull your card or spread and take your time looking at the images. Notice what you feel in your body, any emotion that comes up first and what part of the card your eyes go to. You do not need to force meanings. Let your first impressions speak.

After the reading

Open your journal and write a few simple things.

  • Which card or cards you pulled
  • What you felt in your body
  • Any words, sentences or images that came to mind
  • What you think the main message was for you today

Over time you will start to see patterns and your own personal meanings for each card will grow. This is how your intuition and your relationship with tarot become stronger.

Working with crystals in your practice

You can keep one crystal as your regular tarot companion or choose different stones depending on what you need. For example, Amethyst for calm and insight, Black Tourmaline for protection, Clear Quartz to amplify the message or Moonstone when you are reading about feelings and cycles.
